Boden Winter 2011 Preview + Boden Catalogue Revolution
Well anyway here we go, lots of purples and tartan this winter at Boden. I really get a feeling Mail that Johnnie is upping the game at Boden no wonder Boden beat off competition from larger brands to win a coveted Marketing Award in the loyalty category last month.
Of course Johnnie is getting all the things right to make us covet Boden even more with each Boden Catalogue personalised to each customer, drove a near 30% uplift in response. Catalogues were addressed to customers’ first names and came with a fold-out spread unique to each person, based on his or her shopping history and “life story with the brand” and so on. Yes they don’t want you to know that.

Boden Palazzo Cardigan in Grazia
So can appearances can be that deceiving on this Boden Palazzo Cardigan featured?. First things first, I am not quite sure why its called “palazzo” as I associate it with those flared trousers. Available in Antique Brass, Grey Melange & Navy its a tad bit pricey at £99 but look around my website for a discount if you need to get one.

Boden Printed Cord Dress – doesn’t it feel bulky?
This Boden corduroy does feels rich but isn’t bulky making it a good quality beautifully made item. The cord is soft and the style skims all the right bits and enhances the others. The fabric is wonderfully soft and the colour navy blue with purple leaf print is very flattering and wearable great for everyday as well as evening. Wear with thick tights of leggings & boots for winter and you’ll look super stylish.

Boden Stitch Detail Dress – what’s so special about it?
Accessorize this Boden corduroy dress and you can use it on many different occasions from a night out, going on a school run or going to work. I love this dress! It is comfortable, practical, warm, versatile and could be worn anywhere. I love the purple as its is lovely vibrant beautiful colour with great beautiful finish with the hem finish adding a bit of nice touch. This dress is slightly loose and not as fitted as it looks on the model but its still a good dress particularly especially if you have some curves.

Boden Rainy Day Mac Review – is it waterproof?
If you want a decent raincoat that doesn’t make you look like you are wearing a bin liner then get the Boden Rainyday Mac. It has lovely soft fleece lining and lined pockets and you can use the zip option if you are in a hurry and dont want to fiddle with buttons. This Boden raincoat will really brighten you up on a horrible wet day. The rainyday coat come a little too big which will be fine if you are wearing a jumper underneath otherwise order a size down.
Is it waterproof? Hmmm, its shower proof and that means you can use it quite a lot but if the showers are really heavy, a bin liner on top will be useful.

Boden Velvet Coat Review – is the jacket yay or nay?
When I first saw this Boden Trimmed Velvet Blazer I wasn’t sure what I could wear it with but this turned out to be a truly versatile, stylish and comfy jacket, that will go anywhere any time. The patterned blazer do look great but to get more out this blazer the black one is more versatile and cheaper too than the patterned ones. If you have a smaller bust, you may want to order one size down.

Stella McCartney For Le Sport Sac Bags
LeSportsac is a brand which was purchased by the Accessory Network Group in the last half of 2005. After this LeSportsac became huge and stores selling their bags and accessories were opened in twenty countries all over the globe, from America to Japan to Saudi Arabia. Similarly to the collaboration with pop and rock diva Gwen Stefani, Stella McCartney and the name Le Sport sac are inextricably linked and they’ve brought us collection after collection of simply great bags. Autumn of 2008 brings with it a whole new collection of Le Sport Sac bags. Some of them are grab bags, some rucksacks and there are even some carry cases involved. One of our personal favourites from the spring collection was the adorable draw string totes which come in plain chocolate brown or with a ditsy blue, grey and red floral/star pattern. The new collection is a little less focused on the cutesy stuff and more on the essential day grab bag in all its nylon glory. The navy blues, khaki greens and neutral beiges all fit in very well with this season’s fashionable colours and we can certainly see how a neutral rucksack with the gold fastenings and chains would go so well with a deep purple thick jumper.
Some of the tote Le Sport Sac – Stella McCartney bags also feature her signature zip detail on the front, so she’s bringing some of her own collection into the Le Sport Sac range. Vivienne Westwood Hot Plaid Bags
The English fashion designer most known for bringing revolutionary and somewhat radical designs and trends has to be Vivienne Westwood. When she met Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren in the early seventies her career as a fashion designer rocketed and she became well known for her punk style clothing ranges.Today Vivienne Westwood handbags usually either reflect that anarchistic trend or classic sophistication (like the white Pier bag with diamond patches and gold hardware) but are slightly more subdued. There are even some quite cute looking handbags in her collection such as the ‘Bettina’ bag with teddy bear keychain and loosely knotted straps. One very close contender for the role of Vivienne’s most attractive bag is her tartan jasmine bag which is set to be huge this autumn and winter season. Still carrying on that tartan style pattern but with a huge range of colours, this bag is incredibly unique. It’s delicately and very precisely folded and sewn at the front to look almost like a tie, or a scarf thrown across someone’s shoulder. The pink leather top handles still manage to keep a sense of formality even when other colours within the material are pale blue, hot pink, yellow, pale green, purple, red and a green tinted navy. Of course, the bag features a tiny delicate Vivienne Westwood bag with silver logo at the top, which matches the silver zip.
There are a number of things that make this bag fabulous; the colours, the print, the shape and the style of the folds, and they’re all contributing factors into why it’s going to be so huge in the coming months.
