No matter how many handbags you have for however many occasions or situations, there’s always one which you go back to time after time. What we have in mind for this kind of bag is the ‘Loukas’, which is a medium Radley grab bag made of soft leather gathered at the sides. At only 13 inches wide and 7.5 inches high the Loukas is quite small but that’s what makes it a great grab bag. If you’re looking for something slightly larger but with the same style then go for the Loukas medium tote, at 15 inches wide and 8.5 inches high. They’re available in a range of colours but for this autumn a ginger tan, taupe or black Radley bags is probably your best bet. That way the colours can match catwalk looks for the 2008 fall
Yes, this is just one of the average leather Radley bags, but its sense of normality is off set with the vertical panel of almost paisley pattern embroidery stitching down the center of the bag. It’s got a nice old-fashioned leather strap and buckle fastening which can be a little fiddly when it’s dark but for something this pretty, steadfast and priced at just £140 we think you can put up with it. Inside is a treat too, with the bag split into two large compartments with four other pockets within those, all adorned with a beautiful floral pattern lining. We love the Soho bag, the best thing about the Soho bag is that it comes complete with a matching zip top purse and dust bag, so who’s complaining? It’s very Natasha Khan from Bat For Lashes and therefore it’s bound to go well with a pair of moccasins. We’d recommend going for the black or brown rather than the turquoise or pink and these are colours that will be big this season and go well with autumn 2008’s signature colour purple. As far as Radley bags go the Radley grab bag is probably the most ‘hippy’ and slouchy, with the ‘Purdie’ Radley mini bag coming in a close second.
